Oh Dear!

It seems like I've got a nasty case of Blogger Blight - I've read of fellow bloggers experiencing the same sort of problem, and not being able to add photo's (in any form, jpeg, giff etc) to their posts.
Every time I try to upload a photo, the error report "Server Rejected" appears.

The word from the wise (Blogger "help" team) is to clear the browser cache - which I have done
but it doesn't work!

If anyone has found the cure to this problem I would LOVE to hear from you asap.
Thanks in advance,
Greg

  1. Ah, that's not good news. Not sure what to suggest either, does your computer need an update?

    1. Bad news at the best of times Michael - and these are certainly NOT "the best of times" :-(
Ah well, it's not a problem, it's another "challenge" :-)

  3. Yep, As Frank said I too lost the ability to post photograps. It has been temoprarily fixed by changing my "Firefox" browser to "Explorer".
If I knew how to clear my browser cache, I'd have done that too.

    1. Joe,

" Ctrl+H in an Internet browser
On most Internet browsers (e.g., Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Internet Explorer), pressing Ctrl+H opens the browser history."

There should be a button to click that states something like, 'Clear Browser Data.' I think this is what means when clearing "browser cache", but Wargames Addict could better advise I'm sure.

Deleting the cache will get rid of your Internet viewing history, delete some 'cookies' and may help with some Internet issues depending on their causes or effects.

    2. I hope I can stick with Firefox Joe, but I'll try Explorer - but I really hope I don't have to switch.

Roy is right in his comment above, and you can choose to clear "everything" (cache and cookies) or you can uncheck the cookies box and keep them (they include your various shortcuts to websites etc)

  4. Another good browser to use is Google Chrome, as I had a similar problem when I used to post on Cool Mini Or Not, and changing the browser sorted out the problem. Hope you find a solution soon

    1. Thanks Dave, I seem to remember having issues with Chrome in the past, I've completely forgotten what they were, but that's when I switched to Firefox. I hope I can stick with it but will try ANYTHING to make sure I can carry on blogging :-)

  5. Few years back, when I was using Internet Explorer, I was unable to view pictures on certain websites but I could view others. No idea why. But I swapped browser to Google Chrome and I've had no trouble viewing pictures on the internet since.

I just wonder, like with McAfee or Norton anti-virus software when there's issues, whether real-life work problems in San Francisco (as this is where big computer companies are located I find - though I'm probably wrong) causes issues with Internet services? Google not fully staffed...Delays in fixing blogger issues that would normally be flagged up and fixed within hours. Obviously I've no idea if this is the case, just something I've wondered upon.

    1. Cheers Roy, I've now got a cartoon image in my head showing the Anti Virus Department door with the sign "Closed due to virus" hanging on it!

  6. Oh dear, I`m so sorry I`m late coming to you with this one, I should have been here sooner. Yes I can help you with this, Sir. I`ll write to you from my email and advise you on a solution. Have you recently changed your anti virus by any chance, but still kept an old out of date one on your machine? If you can tell me what`s happening and which error messages are popping up, it will speed up my solution for you.

    1. Bless you Tarot :-)
I found an old version of AVG and Malwarebytes lurking on the hard drive - uninstalled them both and it looks like I'm up and running again!

  7. Good news if this sorts out your problem. I have a message that tells me there is a new version of blogger and I keep ignoring it.
Mind you as I can't seem to write anything it seems academic at the moment.

    1. Hiya John, I've had that message for a while as well, but since the "old blogger" does all I need it to (when it's working correctly!) I'm not interested in what a new all-singing-and-dancing version might have to offer.

What's with the "I can't seem to write anything at the moment"?? Is this just a touch of 'writer's block' or are you suffering a touch of 'lockdown glums'?
Either way, taking your mind off things for a wee while CAN help, so I'm issuing you with a strict order to get a little game set up, played, and documented on your illustrious blog!
Failure to comply WILL* result in further action being taken :-)

      * Just as soon as I've finished jumping through all of the hoops that HMRC have put in place for us self employed minions to claim any financial support!!!
